This fundamental study of the ministry of a biblical counselor includes scriptural examples of constructive and destructive counseling. The author also uses the Bible to illuminate the biblical counselor’s role and relationship with the counselee.
The student will learn to follow principles for self-awareness and self-care; to determine when to make referrals and when to treat; to assume responsibility for the counselor’s dutyto- warn; and to help counselees with problems such as addiction, anxiety, and guilt. Additionally, this course presents approaches for premarital and marital counseling.
